Albert 1er was the perfect choice for my trip - I was very pleased with it! As with other reviews, the hotel looks exactly like the photographs; and I really appreciated this, as this was in big part why I chose it. I stayed in a Double Room with Garden View, in February (off season). The refurbished creative design was great (it all looked fabulous), with really nice lighting options and more, and my bedroom had the right balance of space and a cosy atmosphere. It was perfect for my trip, and my booking included a complimentary upgrade as it was off season, which I really appreciated. It's rare to find a great price, great location and great design all in one! Best things about the hotel were: location, design, cleanliness (it was spotless, and the cleaners were there every day), the staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful at all times (something I also really appreciated as I was travelling alone), the 24 hour manned reception, and much more. The hotel room also had all the key practical things I needed, as I had some work to do while staying there: kettle, desk, safe (which worked and was easy to use), wifi, great blackout blinds etc. The shower was also excellent, with both a rainfall shower and a handheld one - it was bliss; and the bathroom was pristine clean, with a useful under-sink shelf to store your wash bag. The location is excellent - right by the old town, overlooking Jardins Albert Premier (a good spot if you want to watch the concerts!), and 2 minutes walk to the beach and Promenade Anglais. There are lots of restaurants close by, and there's a fabulous Artisan bakery just a 5 minute walk away, which does salads and other meals (Parmigiana etc.) you can take away, for meals on the go. The bus stops right outside the door, and it's just a 3 minute walk to the tram, taking you straight to Nice Ville station and other key destinations. So easy!

This hotel is a gem! Beautiful character building from the early 1900’s. Bright, elegant & spacious room, unbeatable location! Warm, welcoming & friendly staff! Stunning views (book a Privilege Seaview-room! It’s 100% worth it!) Super comfy bed & perfect pillows, power-shower. Top-quality bathroom-products from Nuxe. Sparkling clean. I loved the art work on the wall:) Location, location, location! Just steps from the beach, and everything is nearby. I absolutely loved my stay at the Albert 1er! What a gorgeous hotel! Will definitely return!

The location is excellent — just steps away from Place Masséna, the Old Town, and the beach. The room had been recently renovated and matched the photos exactly. We rented a car and did a tour around the Côte d’Azur. For us, Nice was the perfect choice in terms of location and as a base for exploring the surrounding areas. We communicated with the hotel via Booking, and they kindly provided us with the addresses of the nearest parking options. They were very helpful and responsive.

The location is excellent — just a short walk from the beach, very close to a bus stop, and within easy reach of the city centre and several good restaurants. The air conditioner worked well and kept the room comfortable. The bed was clean and cosy, making it easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. The shower had strong water pressure and stayed hot, which was great after a long day. Wi-Fi worked well on both phone and laptop throughout the stay.

LOVE the area (right off of Promenade des Anglais, which is great walking distance to many spots, but far enough back that it's not on the main street). The rooms are newly renovated and very cute--the attention to detail (curved walls, material textures, bathroom fixture manufacturers, etc.) didn't go unnoticed. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming and accommodating too!
